Caroline Payson is the Director of Education at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York City. Payson has an extensive background in arts education, and was formerly director of educational services at Maryland Public Television. A former chair of the liberal studies department of Parsons School of Design, Payson holds a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins’ Writing Seminars program and a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College.
Eric Hilton of the internationally known musical group, Thievery Corporation, is a metro-DC native. Also the founder of ESL, an independent music label, Hilton is a proponent of global collaboration and is a firm believer in the "do-it-yourself" mentality supporting up-and-coming musical artists from around the world. Over the last five years, Hilton has been a major contributor to the redevelopment of Washington's U Street corridor, embracing diversity, innovation, and quality in all of his business endeavors.
Antonio Alcalá is an award-winning graphic designer and owner of Studio A in Alexandria, VA. His clients include the National Gallery of Art, Library of Congress, National Portrait Gallery, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, National Museum of Women in the Arts, National Geographic Society, The Phillips Collection and the Smithsonian Institution. Alcalá is an adjunct faculty member of the Corcoran College of Art + Design. His work is represented in the Library of Congress Permanent Collection and he is the founder of the design education program DesignWorkshops. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Art with an MFA in graphic design.
